Flying Fijians focused on discipline and tier one standards ahead of Samoa clash

Fiji Water Flying Fijians captain Tevita Ikanivere says the team is committed to maintaining the high standards that reflect Fiji’s Tier One rugby status as they gear up for their clash against Samoa this weekend.

Ikanivere says they have been building on their Tier One status since July, and they will continue playing a style that reflects their brand, which suits Fiji’s place on the global stage.

With the Pacific rivalry set to reignite this weekend, Ikanivere emphasized that discipline will be a key focus heading into the match.

He says discipline will be crucial against Samoa, and they are working hard to improve in that area and reduce their penalty count.

Ikanivere says the squad will review and address their weaknesses before the weekend, aiming to polish their performance ahead of kickoff.

Fiji will take on Samoa this Saturday at 3pm at Rotorua Stadium in New Zealand.
