Loata Nasau who has been selling flowers at the Suva Market for the past 6 years says the small business has helped her extend their house in Naraiyawa, Namosi, buy home appliances and furniture and improved their standard of living.

Nasau says she gets flowers at the beginning of every week from her husband in Namosi.

The 48-year-old says the minimum cost of a piece of flower can be $10 and the maximum set of flower arrangements is $250.

Nasau says with the small money she gets has enabled her to support the education of her children.

The mother of 3 says she lives in Nadera with her children while her husband is a farmer back in the village.

She adds she plants her flowers in the village as a side business to help her husband with farming.

She encourages everyone to plant flowers because she has experienced the value of earning a living out of it.
