As the hype is on the up for tonight’s game 1 of the State of Origin, NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler has issued a pre-game warning to Queensland rookie Reece Walsh.

Fittler says they are going to put the bomb on Walsh as there is nothing else to do since he is very talented.

He says it is great to watch what Walsh has been doing for the Broncos this season and they don’t want to give him that much room or he will embarrass them.

He says they need to put him under pressure.

Meanwhile, New South Wales assistant coach Greg Alexander has provided an update on halfback Nathan Cleary saying he has been cleared to play tonight.

Cleary was rocked by an infected wisdom tooth earlier this week which put his Adelaide Oval availability in jeopardy. The Blues will take on the Maroons in State of Origin 1 at 10.05 tonight.
