Fireworks allowed from 5pm to 12am during Diwali Day

Fireworks will only be allowed for use on Diwali Day from 5pm to 12am.

The Ministry of Trade, Co-operatives, SMEs and Communications is conducting a joint inspections to ensure retailers and traders adhere to mandatory fireworks labeling requirements and sale of permitted fireworks.

The Ministry urges people to check the firework as it must contain all labeling in English, should be not damaged, should not be sold to anyone Under 18 years, and should read and follow the instructions before using it outdoor.

The Ministry also reminds people not to throw and handle fireworks with bare hands and not to let children handle the fireworks.
