Firefighters have extinguished the semi trailer fire along Ratu Mara Road in Samabula.
Fortunately, the driver escaped injuries.
The National Fire Authority had sent over a fire truck and five firefighters to the scene at around 5pm.
Police are controlling traffic as they are in the process of removing the truck.
