Eight shops at Central Arcade in Ba Town were destroyed in a fire last night.
A museum is also located at the site.
The cost of the damage is yet to be determined.
Police say a security officer reported the fire to the Ba Police Station at 8 o'clock last night.
According to Police, the fire is believed to have started on the second floor, however, this is subject to investigation.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
There is a joint investigation by Police and NFA underway.
