It is a tragic Diwali for a family after an 18-year-old man lost his life in a fatal house fire.
Police confirm the victim was trapped inside his bedroom when the fire broke out at his home in Nakaile, Tailevu, yesterday.
The fire is believed to have started in one of the rooms, however, the exact cause is yet to be determined.
Police say joint investigations with the National Fire Authority are continuing.
They are urging members of the public to take fire safety seriously and to follow the regular awareness messages issued by the NFA.
