Some Fijians are using the #FijiIsUnited on social media platforms to highlight there are no reports of instability in their area and that they are all united.

Over the last few days the hashtag has popped up on Facebook and Twitter as people are sharing their everyday interactions with their neighbours.

Other Fijians have even shared they fall in the minority group in Fiji and they have felt completely safe in the lead up to elections, during elections and post-elections.

They are posting up photos and videos showing their surroundings to show that everything is normal.

The #FijiIsUnited has even been described by a Twitter user as a means to counter the very dangerous rhetoric that Fiji is in a state of chaos.
