The Ministry of Trade is focused on streamlining processes to foster a business-friendly environment, including the launch of an online business registration system to simplify procedures for entrepreneurs and investors.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operative, Small and Medium Enterprises, Manoa Kamikamica highlighted this while officiating at the Capital Insurance Ltd 10th anniversary celebration at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
He says additionally, ongoing collaboration with the Department of Immigration aims to streamline visa processes, making Fiji a more attractive destination for international investors and tourists.
Kamikamica says this positive outlook reflects the government’s efforts to steer Fiji towards sustainable economic growth through diversification and innovation.
He says the Fijian economy is now forecast to grow by 3.8 percent this year, an encouraging upward revision from the 2.8 percent projected in June.
He says that key sectors, such as commercial agriculture, MSMEs, and cooperative investments, play a pivotal role in these efforts and by empowering Fijians to expand their businesses and participate in global markets, the government is laying a resilient foundation for long-term prosperity.
Kamikamica reiterated the government’s vision of a diversified, future-ready Fiji that stands resilient in the face of global challenges.
