The ACSA facilitates collaboration on critical regional challenges such as climate change, maritime security, and countering narcotics trafficking.

It builds on existing initiatives, including joint military training, maritime security efforts, and the 2018 Shiprider Agreement.

The decade-long partnership also sets the stage for a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) to expand joint exercises and deepen defence engagements.

The Fiji Government says Fiji's role as a regional leader in Indo-Pacific stability is further reinforced through this growing U.S. partnership.
