Fiji Women’s Va’a settles for silver in 1,500m final

The Fiji Women’s Va’a team have settled for silver at the 2023 Pacific Games after finishing second in the Women’s 1,500m final this afternoon.

The team finished with a time of 10 minutes 3.03 seconds in the final.

The win was a huge improvement from the last Pacific Games in 2019 which was held in Samoa where they were unplaced.

Team Fiji currently sits in 5th place with 13 gold, 18 silver and 19 bronze. New Caledonia is leading with 67 gold, 41 silver and 42 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 37 gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze.
