The Fiji Muslim League says they will continue to assist students with lunch for as long as they will need it and they do not have a time limit on this.

League President Hafiz-Ud-Dean Khan says they spend an estimated amount of $700 to feed these needy students everyday.

He says they fork out money from their budget and receive donations in order to provide assistance for these students.

The Fiji Muslim League assists close to 250 to 280 students in a day.

Khan says they provide the various schools with groceries and the respective management teams work on providing lunch for these students.

The League President adds that attendance in schools has been better than what it was before COVID-19 came.

He says an average of 90 percent of the students turn up to school everyday.

There are currently 22 schools under the Fiji Muslim League, 5 of which are High Schools and 17 Primary Schools.
