The Fiji Cancer Society is requesting urgent assistance for adult pull-up diapers adding they have recently had to turn away needy cancer patients as they are currently unable to afford them.
Pull-up diapers have tearable side panels that can be quickly opened to make removal easy.
The Fiji Cancer Society looks after more than 583 cancer patients.
The Society’s Program Manager, Darisha Datt says pull-up diapers are given to cancer patients who are elderly, who suffer from other underlying health issues such as diabetes and stroke and are unable to move around.
Datt adds they provide adult diapers during weekly home visitations by their palliative nurses however they are in need of adult pull-up diapers.
If you like to assist in this worthy cause, the pull-up diapers can be dropped off at Fiji Cancer Society’s office opposite the CWM Maternity Unit at Waimanu Road in Suva. People can also contact them on 9986127 for more information.
