Several debutants in the Vodafone Fiji Bati side will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and prove their worth at the Pacific Bowl Championship as they take on the Cook Islands this evening.
Coach Wise Kativerata has confirmed that he is focused on grooming the next generation of players and wants to see how they perform against the Cook Islands before the upcoming match against Papua New Guinea.
Kativerata says it is only the second week of the campaign, so there have been no major changes to the squad, and he is looking forward to seeing how the new players rise to the occasion.
Fiji takes on the Cook Islands at 5pm in Port Moresby, marking the start of their Pacific Bowl campaign.
