Family is my motivation - Armstrong-Ravula
Former Fiji Under 20 fly-half and new Swire Shipping Fijian Drua signee Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula

Former Fiji Under 20 fly-half and new Swire Shipping Fijian Drua signee Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula says family is his motivation.

Ravula says ever since he could walk, his dad has taught him and his brother how to pass, catch and kick.

He says he started playing Rugby League in Australia then they moved to New Zealand for his last two years in high school where he played First XV for St Andrew’s College in Christchurch.

The 19-year-old then went to Manawatu Academy after he finished school.

Armstrong-Ravula says he hopes to learn off the boys from Caleb Muntz, Kemu Valetini and the other leaders in the group, just soaking everything in and learning as much as he can.

His advice to those thinking of making rugby a career is to keep working hard, someone is always watching as hard work beats talent.

The Drua play the Auckland Blues in their opening game of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific on February 24th.
