Last month, FICAC said the two people arrested for their alleged involvement in the scam were yet to be charged as the findings of the initial investigation warrant further investigations.
FICAC is also calling on the public to come forward if they have any information regarding this scam, especially if they've been affected by it as their contribution will greatly assist in ensuring swift action is taken against the culprits.
The scam involves the illegal sale of land in Makoi worth over $150,000.
This is in relation to the relocation project to move squatters in the Nanuku Settlement to Makoi.
The two people arrested allegedly issued fake receipts to interested buyers with a stamp carrying the supposed endorsement of the Minister.
According to FICAC, the Minister and Ministry are not partaking in transactions such as these and anyone claiming this should be reported immediately.
