An 84-year-old woman has passed away after she was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a 43-year old man along Kanace Road in Valelevu.
The accident occurred on Tuesday.
Police says the elderly woman who was residing in Delaitokatoka, Valelevu was rushed to the CWM Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit, until she passed away yesterday.
A post mortem will be conducted to confirm the victim’s cause of death as investigations continue.
Eight people have died on our roads so far this year compared to 10 in the same period last year.
