A family of three in Nadonumai in Lami is being treated at the CWM Hospital with serious injuries after they were stabbed in their home by an intruder early this morning.
Police say the suspect who is believed to be a teenager has been found dead after allegedly taking his own life.
According to Police, the suspect allegedly entered the home with the intention of committing a burglary but he was disturbed by one of the family members.
Police say the suspect stabbed a 2-year-old child who was sleeping and the child's mother and father before fleeing the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
