SODELPA General Secretary, Emele Duituturaga has resigned from her post.
Duituturaga served for a period of nine months, and has cited personal and family reasons for her resignation.
SODELPA President, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau says SODELPA is very grateful for the services rendered by Duituturaga during one of the party’s challenging times.
Ratu Epenisa says her immense contribution enabled the party to overcome a suspension and under her strong leadership, SODELPA has been able to build on its preparations for the 2022 general elections.
He says Duituturaga will remain a senior member of the party and has pledged to continue offering her services to the party as needed.
In the meantime, Ratu Epenisa will be the party’s point of contact while a Management Board meeting will be convened soon to commence the recruitment of Duituturaga’s successor.
