The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team have won their first pool game against Ireland 24-19
Fijiana scored two tries in the first half to Alowesi Nakoci and Sesenieli Donu as they took the lead at half time 12-10
Reapi Ulunisau added another try for the Fijiana midway in the second half before Ana Roqica made an impact off the bench to seal the win.
Fijiana will now take on USA at 8:02 tonight, and then play Great Britain at 12.14 early tomorrow morning with their final pool game against France at 8:29pm tomorrow.
In other women's results;
Russia beat Brazil 17-5, France beat Great Britain 33-12 and Australia thrashed Spain 40-0.
