Pacific Recycling Foundation Founder, Amitesh Deo says involving prominent Drua rugby players in recycling efforts aims to foster a collective commitment to environmental stewardship, both locally and internationally.

He says making strides in addressing waste management and environmental sustainability within the rugby community. Deo says in partnership with Swire Shipping they have pioneered a unique initiative by providing a comprehensive recycling training session to key players of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.

Players that were present during this training were Drua flyhalf, Caleb Muntz, lock Sailosi Vukalokalo, and flanker Kitione Salawa, at the Tanoa International Hotel Nadi.

Deo expressed enthusiasm for this groundbreaking endeavor, emphasising its significance in the history of sports, particularly Super Rugby in Fiji.

Deo underscored rugby's global appeal and its alignment with principles of sustainability and cultural values.

He says the collaboration signifies a patriotic dedication to Fiji's well-being beyond the rugby field.

Deo hopes that the knowledge imparted during the training session will not only benefit the players but also cascade throughout the team, coaching staff, and fans worldwide.
