Drua open training session at Albert Park because of fewer games in Suva – Drua CEO
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO, Mark Evans

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO, Mark Evans says the team is in Suva and will be hosting an open training session at Albert Park from 9am to 10.30am tomorrow because they have fewer games in Suva.

In November last year, the Drua announced that the venues have been finalized after extensive discussions with venue owners and considering a number of important factors and key among them is the unavailability of the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva until April 2024 due to upgrade of the athletic tracks.

He says they have got a split they did not really want, and they are taking a hit commercially as well.

The Drua CEO says they cannot change venues this late, as it is just not possible.

He says the players and coaches are enjoying their time in Suva, and they are thinking to make it an annual event.

The Drua play the Blues in Auckland on the 24th of this month in round 1 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
