Minister for Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu has highlighted that disaster preparedness is conducted simultaneously throughout the four divisions.
He says they are taking disaster preparedness seriously and all four divisional commissioners are playing their role in disseminating information to the people.
The Minister says the country’s level of preparedness is at 60% level, but they have identified some gaps which they are working on.
Seruiratu says regardless of the level of preparedness, a country will never be perfect in their preparation but that is a good indication for Fiji that we are preparing well.
