Good news for Dilkusha Methodist High School students as they received 100 desks and chairs valued at $9,500, which will significantly impact their lives.
While officiating the handover ceremony, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro says the project was funded by the Prime Minister’s Office and is a crucial step in improving the learning environment and supporting the overall quality of education.
Radrodro says education remains at the heart of the National Development Plan 2025-2029 and Vision 2050, which aim to equip young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
He says in the ever-evolving world one needs to ensure that there are sufficient resources to thrive.
The Minister says comfortable chairs, desks, and safe school furniture play a significant role in enhancing student concentration and engagement during lessons.
He further says when children sit in classrooms that are well-furnished and conducive to learning, it empowers them to focus better on their lessons.
Radrodro adds this demonstrates the collective commitment to improving the standards of education and the government remains steadfast in the efforts to ensure that every child in Fiji has access to quality education.
