Diwali is the spirit of giving, sharing and celebrating and it touches our hearts deeply as our team were able to bring a meaningful change as Digicel Fiji celebrated the festival of lights by extending its warm wishes to the students and teachers of the Fiji School of the Blind.
This was highlighted by Digicel Pacific Regional CEO, Shally Jannif after they organised a Diwali event at the school, bringing joy and festivities to the visually impaired students.
She says the team served a delicious variety of traditional Indian food and sweets and also presented gifts to the students and teachers, making the celebration a memorable experience for all.
She further says they believe in the transformative power of connectivity and the importance of spreading warmth and positivity in the communities.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Farid Mohammed, says they are committed to nurturing a more inclusive and compassionate society, and this event at the Fiji School of the Blind signifies yet another stride on their journey towards that aspiration.
The School acknowledged the initiative shown by Digicel Fiji as it allowed them to experience the joy that Diwali represents.
