Digicel Fiji has donated $4,000 to the United Nations Association of Fiji which is a registered non-profit organization that provides basic diplomacy training, educates and engages citizens on the work of the United Nations and global issues that affect everyone.

The United Nations Association of Fiji does an annual community impact project which targets the most vulnerable in the society and this year’s project focuses on building a shoreline shelter, stairs with railings and a dock for about 500 people of Wainidova and Vinibau village, located on the bank of Navua River.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Farid Mohammed says as Digicel celebrated its 13th Birthday, they are pleased to contribute to a project that directly impacts people at the grassroot level.

He says Digicel’s contribution to this project is a testament to their All In for Fiji commitment and that We Are Better Together.

President and Founder of United Nations Association of Fiji Akmal Ali says they are thankful to Digicel for helping create a positive impact in the lives of ordinary Fijians.
