Filipo Daugunu scored a try for the Queensland Reds as they defeated the Melbourne Rebels 25-13 last night to book their place in the final of the Super Rugby AU against the Brumbies next week.

Daugunu’s try came in the 74th minute through a match-winning play from prop Taniela Tupou giving the Fijian flyer space to seal the Reds victory.

The 25-year-old came up with several crucial breakdown penalty wins and was lethal in his attack.

Jordan Petaia and Lukhan Salakaia-Loto also scored a try each for the Reds while James O’Connor converted 2 penalties.

Meanwhile, Fiji-born Wallabies wing Marika Koroibete scored for the Rebels but it was not enough to take them through to the final.

The Reds will take on the Brumbies at 9.15pm next Saturday.
