Lets talk about sex.
This was the theme of the information session that was hosted by International Planned Parenthood Federation to talk about sexual reproductive health and how it needs more awareness in Fiji and the Pacific.
Program Manager of Reproductive and Family Health Association of Fiji, Sera Ratu says culture has been one of the main factors that hinders most families from talking openly about sex.
Ratu adds that this is not only an issue in Fiji but in the Pacific.
Ratu says they do not talk to parents and teachers about sex but focus more on the changes the children are going through.
Meanwhile, IPPF carried out the information session for media and social media influencers with an aim to have more reach into the communities on the sexual reproductive health conversation and the need to help those who lack the information.
