The Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations Livai Driu has called on parents and community leaders to speak out and take a stand on the illicit drug trade as children as trends indicate that children are falling victim to drug use.

While speaking at the Sabeto District School Annual Awards Ceremony, ACP Driu says with the school holidays upon us, parents and guardians cannot rule out the fact that distributors will target children as pushers, as they would be seen as the unlikely suspects in exchange for some money.

ACP Driu also called on the community leaders to work with police and take the first step toward safeguarding their communities.

Police continue the momentum of drug operations across the five policing divisions.
