Chris Wood scored for Forest while Noni Madueke scored for Chelsea.
In other matches, Brighton edged Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 while Aston Villa and Manchester United finished nil-all.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is leading the table with 18 points followed by Manchester City with 17 points, Arsenal is third with 17 points while Chelsea is fourth with 14 points.
