Fiji Labour Party Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry has cautioned the leaders of the multi-party government saying that they should not make unreasonable demands as a price for their support for the Coalition.

In his New Year’s message Chaudhry says they must consider the national interest ahead of all else.

The FLP leader further says fair treatment of all the communities must be the benchmark they should set for themselves in all their decisions.

Chaudhry says Fiji celebrates the New Year with the installation of a new government and it is a blessing which comes after sixteen years of autocratic rule.
