The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side lost to France 19-17 in the quarter finals of the Cape Town 7s.
The French side put a lot of pressure on the Fijiana girls and also capitalised on their mistakes.
Raijieli Daveua, Vani Buleki and Reapi Uluinasau scored a try each.
France managed to also score three tries from Anne-Cécile Ciofani, Caroline Drouin and Lili Dezou.
In other quarter final results, USA beat Great Britain 19-12, and Australia defeated Ireland 24-14.
New Zealand is currently playing Canada in the last quarter final.
The semi finals will start at 12.12am tomorrow, and the final will be at 4.43am tomorrow.
