Formula One stars will take their talents off-track and online to keep fans entertained.
With the coronavirus situation halting the Grand Prix season until the end of May at the earliest, Formula One has launched an esports grand prix series, starting with a Bahrain GP on Monday morning (NZ time).
While no official World Championship points will be on offer, the drivers will no doubt take the challenge seriously, with reputations at stake. A number of other stars will also contest the Gps.
The first virtual GP on the Sakhir track will be a 50 per cent length race with 28 laps and fans will be able to watch on the official Formula 1 YouTube, Twitch and Facebook channels.
