Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has directed Internal Affairs to conduct an investigation into the incident circulating on social media where it is alleged a Police officer was drunk in uniform and was part of a drinking group that bashed up a boy.
The mother of the boy in Wainubuku posted on social media and voiced her frustrations.
She says she even reported the matter at the Nakasi Police Station and Police Head Quarters in Centre Point but claims nothing was done about it.
The concerned mother claims the Nakasi Police did not take action, claiming that they knew the drunk officer.
