Byrne focuses on new players’ development to prepare for 2027 RWC

Fiji Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne is focused on developing the young and upcoming players in the squad to prepare for the Rugby World Cup in 2027.

Byrne says some of the great stalwarts of the team and great players over the last few years are coming towards the end of their careers and some of them have played in three Rugby World Cups, so it is important that their legacy is held in high regard.

Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians will play Scotland at 5.30am this Sunday at Murrayfield.

They will take on Wales at 1.40am on Monday 11th November at the Millennium Stadium before playing Spain at 2am on the 17th of November in their third test.

The Flying Fijians will then take on Ireland in their final test on the 24th of November at 3.10am.
