A 33-year-old businessman has been charged with one count of bribery as he is alleged to have offered Police officers thousands of dollars to avoid being charged following an accident.
The alleged incident occurred last week in Nausori when the accused was allegedly involved in an accident whereby he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was earlier charged with one count of drunk driving and one count of dangerous driving.
Today he will be produced for the case of alleged bribery in the Nausori Magistrates Court.
