10 proposed candidates announced for the FijiFirst Party

Former SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu and former National Federation Party member Riddhi Damodar are part of the 10 proposed candidates announced for the FijiFirst Party for the December 2022 general elections.

The announcement was made by the Party’s General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum this afternoon during a press conference at the FijiFirst Office.

The other proposed candidates announced are former Swami Vivekananda College Vice Principal Bhawini Devi Narayan, former Lecturer at FIT Jagdish Nand, FNU Students Association National President Ketan Lal, Mohammed Zuhayr Khan, Samuela Tabakau, former Unit Trust of Fiji executive and former TV News presenter Sakiusa Bolaira, Suzie Hirst Tuilau and Taito Rokomatu.

Sayed-Khaiyum also announced the names of the 25 FijiFirst MPs from the recently dissolved parliament that will run for election this year.

They are Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Alex O'Connor, Alipate Nagata, Faiyaz Koya, George Vegnathan, Ifereimi Waqainabete, Inia Seruiratu, Jale Sigarara, Jone Usamate, Joseph Nand, Howard Politini, Mahendra Reddy, Premila Kumar, Parveen Bala, Alvick Maharaj, Rosy Akbar, Sachida Nand, Sanjay Kirpal, Selai Adimaitoga, Semi Koroilaveisau, Veena Bhatnagar, Viam Pillay, Vijay Nath and Virendra Lal.

Sayed-Khaiyum says Dr Salik Govind had not applied to be part of their candidacy this year and the other one is Rohit Sharma.

The general elections will be held on the 14th of December.
