The Blues have beaten Brumbies 20-19 in a thrilling semifinal to secure their spot in the Super Rugby final against the Crusaders.

In a closely contested match, Irae Simone of the Brumbies silenced the home crowd with a try in just the third minute of the game.

Hoskins Sotutu who has links to Fiji then scored the first try for the Blues. Mark Telea scored the Blues second try going into the second half with a 20-7 lead.

Brumbies substitute hooker, Lachlan Lonergan got two tries in the second spell.

The Blues finished the game in defence as Ofa Tu'angafasi was forced to dramatically charge down a late drop goal attempt by the Brumbies.

The Blues will host the Crusaders at Eden Park in the Super Rugby Pacific final this Saturday at 7.05pm.
