The Hurricanes could be without the services of All Blacks halfback TJ Perenara for up to four weeks after he suffered a knee injury at training.
Perenara, who didn't play for the Hurricanes last year because he was contracted to Japanese club NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes, damaged his anterior cruciate ligament on Tuesday and won't be available for the opening rounds of Super Rugby Pacific which starts next weekend.
The Hurricanes will play the Crusaders at 6.05pm next Saturday.
