Better communication skills needed - Doge

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop Mesake Doge believes that the team needs to improve their communication skills and start the game early if they are to compete well at this year’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports after their 33-26 win against the Rugby Football Club Los Angeles side in a trial match at Churchill Park in Lautoka, Doge says that it was a tough game as the Americans held them until the last quarter.

Doge says the message at half-time was simple and straight forward.

He says most of the time, they wait until the last minute, but they cannot afford that during the pre-season because they are competing in the Super Rugby.

The 31-year-old says he is working on being more resilient and quick around the park.

The Drua will now turn their focus to the start of the season, where they meet the Brumbies on 15th February at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva at 3.35pm.
