Ba-Navua clash to mark return of competitive sports after more than 3 months

The Ba-Navua clash in the Vodafone Premier League today will mark the return of competitive sports in the country after more than three months since the first case of COVID-19 was recorded on 19th of March this year.

Fiji Football Association’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says police and security officers will be present at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds this afternoon to ensure that COVID-19 related restrictions are adhered to.

Yusuf says only 350 people will be allowed beyond the gate and 15 security officers along with police officers will be present at the venue.

He says anyone in the crowd who is found not practicing social distancing will immediately be escorted out of the ground.

Ba will face Navua at 3pm today at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Ba.
