An Australian batting onslaught from David Warner and Mitchell Marsh has lifted Australia to their first-ever T20 Cricket World Cup, with an eight-wicket win over the Blackcaps in Dubai this morning.
Chasing 173 for victory, Warner and Marsh plundered a 92-run partnership in 59 balls in a match-winning partnership that was only broken when Warner was bowled by Trent Boult.
Earlier, captain Kane Williamson's set up the Blackcaps' 172/4 stroking 10 fours and three sixes.
