Graduates of Leadership Fiji 2019 inducted as Fellows.

One of the graduates of Leadership Fiji, Shaheed Ali says last year was very challenging for them as almost half of them either lost jobs or suffered pay cuts due to COVID-19.

Ali with 29 others been have inducted as Fellows after completing various community projects last year.

He says they helped each other and managed to pull through in the hard times.

One of the major projects the group completed was building a kitchen container for Nuku Secondary School which will help in cooking food for almost 40 boarding students.

The Leadership Fiji graduates also provided food packs to families affected by COVID-19 through the Veilomani Food Bank last year and donated fabric to sew scarfs and pillow cases for cancer patients.

Leadership Fiji Chairman William Parkinson says this is a special year for them as they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Leadership Fiji.

Parkinson says leadership is all about action and they want the participants to just not talk about leadership but go out and solve problems in the community.

34 participants are part of the Leadership Fiji program this year.
