The Flying Fijians remain in 11th place in the latest World Rugby rankings while the All Blacks are closing in on the Springboks at the top.

The latest rankings update shows South Africa’s lead at the top of the table was cut by two points following the world champions’ shock 28-26 loss to Australia.

Similar results in the Rugby Championship rematches this weekend would see the All Blacks go into their 100th test against the Springboks in Queensland on September 25 with the No1 ranking up for grabs.

Meanwhile, the Wallabies have been rewarded for their win over the Springboks.

Australia moved up two places to No 5.

Argentina dropped one place to No 7 after their loss to New Zealand.

The only other test last weekend saw the United States beat Canada 38-16.

The United States moved up one place to No 16 while Canada remained at No 21.

The Wallabies will face the Springboks at 7.05pm Saturday while the All Blacks meet Argentina at 10.05pm Saturday.
