Following the All Blacks' 41-24 win over Argentina in the Rugby Championship this morning, New Zealand has surged back to the top of the Men’s World Rugby rankings for the first time since November 2021.

The All Blacks held off a spirited second-half comeback to secure a bonus-point win.

Captain Scott Barrett says they were a little bit slow in the second half, and he is disappointed about their discipline, which fed Argentina’s game.

Wing Sevu Reece says it was a tough game as Argentina stuck with it right till the last minute.

He says they were a little bit slack on discipline, which the team needs to work on.

Reece scored twice, with replacement hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho also grabbing a double.

Ardie Savea and Cortez Ratima crossed for one try each.

The match was played at high intensity, with Argentina showing great fight to keep the All Blacks under pressure.

Discipline was an issue for both sides, with three yellow cards handed out – to Argentina prop Mayco Vivas, and All Blacks Billy Proctor and Anton Lienert-Brown.

Meanwhile, the Wallabies stunned the Springboks 38-22 in Johannesburg this morning.

Trailing 22-5 in the first half, the Australians roared back with five unanswered tries in the second half to seal a famous comeback win.

Looking at the matches in round 2 next Sunday, South Africa will host the Wallabies at 3.10am and the All Blacks will take on Argentina at 9.10am
