International horse, Al Riffa has become the new favourite for the 2025 Melbourne Cup after persistent rain resulted in Flemington Racecourse being rated as a Soft 6.
Australian-bred horse Half Yours, ridden by Jamie Melham, is the second-favourite after impressing last month by winning the Caulfield Cup.
The Melbourne Cup race will start at 4pm today.
