New Zealand Air Force Safety and Service technician, Nanise Koro comes from a family that has a proud military background.
Koro who is currently in the country for the Pacific Partnership initiative says her father is a former member of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces while her older brother was a member of the Australian Army, and another sibling is in the British Navy.
The Safety and Service technician says she is extremely grateful of the support from her parents in her career choice.
As a Safety tech, her job includes packing parachutes, life rafts, painting of aircraft and aircraft components as well as flying clothing for air crews and pilots.
Koro says the best advice from her parents is if she does something, to do it right the first time.
