A break-in did occur 2 months ago but no files were stolen - FICAC

FICAC today confirms that a break-in did occur at its Headquarters two months ago, however, the claims circulating on social media about missing files are false.

Upon discovering the break-in, FICAC initiated an investigation immediately including viewing CCTV footage.

FICAC confirms that no investigation files, including those related to Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad and seven other Ministers, were taken during the break-in.

FICAC assures the public that all investigation materials, files, and exhibits are securely stored and managed by the Registry Officers.

FICAC reminds the general public to avoid making public statements that are factually incorrect or posting defamatory content on social media, as doing so constitutes a criminal offence.
