A 9-year old boy from Tubou, Lakeba is believed to have drowned.
Police say the incident occurred earlier this week.
He was missing from home and a search was conducted whereby his body was found floating near the foreshore on Monday afternoon.
The drowning death toll currently stands at 31 compared to 38 for the same period last year.
