Electricity has been restored to 99 percent of the greater Nadi area, with certain remote places still undergoing restoration work after Cyclone Vaianu.
Energy Fiji Limited says that areas still without electricity as of this morning are likely affected by planned outages or are in remote locations, and restoration work is ongoing to restore power.
Waimalika resident Faria Ali told fijivillage News this morning that they are still without power following the impact of Cyclone Vaianu, and she believes the outage was not planned.
She expressed concern for their safety at night, as well as the food stored in their refrigerator, which had spoiled over the past few days due to the ongoing outages.
She is asking if a timeline can be provided for when power will be restored.
EFL says there is currently no specific timeframe for completing restoration work, but the team is continuing efforts to restore electricity to the remaining one percent of affected areas in Nadi.
